Adult Services - 619.470.5830
Adult Services encompasses Fiction and Non-Fiction materials in electronic and print formats; Spanish language collections, Large Print collections, and Audio / Video materials. Reference assistance and reader advisory is available.

Children's Services - 619.470.5810
The Children's Room sponsors a variety of activities including Storytime; seasonal reading programs; reference assistance and reader advisory; holiday programs; computers for children; and computer instruction. Collections include Board Books; Chapter Books; Spanish language materials; audio and video materials; and a parenting collection. Circulation - 619.470.5820
The loan period for books and print materials is 28 days. Audio materials check out for 28 days. Videos, DVD's, and audio books check out for 7 days. There are book drops in front of library for returning materials at any time. The library imposes fines for the following:

Overdue Children and Young Adult print materials $0.10 per day
Overdue Adult print materials $0.25 per day
Overdue Audio, Video, DVD materials $3.00 per day
Library Card replacement $2.00

Community Computer Center - 619.470.5910
There are 60 computers with high-speed Internet and e-mail access. Computer Center offers use of color scanner and a digital camera. There is software for word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop publishing.

Literacy Services - 619.470.5860
Literacy Services helps improve English reading and writing skills by one-on-one tutoring; small group study; and computers for self study. FaST WINGS is an after-school literacy program for grades 1 thru 6. The WOWmobile (Words on Wheels) Literacy Program is for families with children ages 0-5 years old. Books and materials for children and parents are available as well as crafts; games; puppet shows; stories; health referral services; and family literacy workshops. Local History Room - 619.470.5870
The Local History Room contains collections representing National City's past and present including the Kimball Family letters and diaries; photographs, maps, scrapbooks, artifacts, and memorabilia; local newspapers from 1882, and Sweetwater High School memorabilia.
